The Drinks Between Us
Vincent J. Hall II
Loss is not easy to deal with, and everyone grieves in their own way. After Jack experiences the death of his wife, he finds comfort in drinking and chooses his son, John, as the receiver of his hate. John, mourning his mother’s death, runs away from home, leaving behind his little sister to deal with their father on her own. It isn’t until a life-changing event happens that Jack realizes he’s been exhibiting his own father’s ways towards John and John has a conversation that changes his perspective on his father. Will father and son be able to forgive each other and break the realities they have built in their minds?
